Introduction:

Hey everyone, today, I’m excited to share my thoughts on Shuchi Batra’s “You Belong with Me.” If you enjoy reading prose and poetry together and want to dwell on romance, this book should be on your list.

This book offers an interesting storytelling experience and the past is told through the protagonist’s diary. I really like how Suchi pulls readers into the story.

Overview:

Our story revolves around Sid and Alia. Their lives have taken different turns because of Sid’s ambitions. Furthermore, Alia receives Sid’s diary from a mutual friend after initially refusing to take it from Sid.”

“As Alia flips through the pages, she learns how deep Sid’s love was and his efforts to keep it alive. As soon as she realizes her mistake, she hears about flight crash in which sid was traveling. This part of the book is heartbreaking… Just a heads up keep your tissues handy guys.”

“What happened to Alia after this devastating event? Does she find the strength to move on? Well, there’s a big twist coming up, but I won’t spill it. You’ll have to grab your copy and find out.” I had to read it on kindle because there aren’t physical copies available in Canada. In my opinion, physically reading it would be more enjoyable than a digital read.

“Besides the engaging storyline, this book also features beautiful artwork and poetry written by Shuchi Batra. They are deep, insightful, and make a real difference in the reading experience.”

My favourite lines from the book:

“There were words

Even in our silence

And I know

we were about to fall in love.”
