Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is an astonishing novel that puts readers inside Christopher Boone’s head, a 15-year-old with Asperger’s-like condition. After discovering that his neighbor Wellington’s dog has been killed, Christopher starts his investigation into the issue, which reveals shocking family secrets.
Christopher narrates through unique perspectives and logical observations combined with mathematical puzzles, which unveil various dimensions of his world. Haddon’s prose is straightforward and easy to understand, as it combines laughter and moving instances to explore questions of faithfulness, home, and toughness.

The thing I liked the most was the presentation of the book. This book doesn’t have normal page numbers; the chapters are numbered with prime numbers. Additionally, it includes a few questions like a quiz at the end. By the end of the story, you will understand that living with autism and parenting children with autism is very challenging, and people need rock-solid mental health to go through it.
This novel is an emotional read that makes you think about differently-abled people in a new way. A mystery that compels one throughout its pages and also an endearing tale for human beings that remains fresh on your minds even after you finish reading it.
